Since inception, Limesharp have always held the belief that a lot of commercial software is expensive to purchase and in some cases offers poor value. In addition commercial software is usually a closed proprietary development resulting in supplier "lock-in" or committing you to expensive on-going support, development and annual licence fees.
With this in mind, Limesharp have always striven to provide free or low-cost core software. Instead of spending £5,000 on a commercial Content management Solution (CMS) for example we provide the MODX CMS solution free and because its "Open Source" there is no compiled proprietary code, its always open and available for anyone to extend, develop and modify. Our approach helps you get the maximum return from your investment by allowing you to use your budget for the actual development time spent on the project itself. This alone can save you £1000's.
We offer you a simple method of pricing based on the actual hours we spend developing your bespoke eCommerce solution for you. Our rates are £60.00 per hour (£480 per day) and we can build a custom eCommerce solution in as little as three days or for larger projects this may typically be between 5 - 20 days. Overall it simply depends on the complexity of the site, the quality of graphics and design elements required and what, if any additional development work will be required to meet specific needs. All said, a typical website eCommerce project similar to many within our portfolio are between 4 to 10 days work, developed using the latest XHTML and CSS standards as well as being accessibility compliant (A legal requirement).
Besides the fact that most of the core software is supplied free of charge we also provide free access to our image library. So instead of having to purchase images at typically $70 each you can choose from 300,000 images Limesharp make available to you, without charge yet knowing that the images are correctly licensed and also, where appropriate, include model releases so there is no risk of someone taking legal action against you for costs. (you, not the supplier are responsible for ensuring your images are properly licensed)
We also subscribe annually to a legal documents library. This allows us to provide your web and eCommerce legal documents free of charge, again saving you substantial sums in lawyer's fees to draft these documents. For further information see free legal documents
Thirdly, we have many add-on options available from as little as £25.00 to implement. Many of these options cover the most popular customer requests which if had to be developed specifically for you would cost many £100's. There is also the option of integrated eMail marketing and great value shared and dedicated hosting options. And we don't charge an annual licence fee for software updates either. When your eCommerce, CMS, Forum or Document management systems needs updating we let you know and you only pay for the time the actual update takes (usually between 30mins to 2hours)
But these are only some of the ways in which we ensure we can deliver outstanding value. We also operate a tight ship, no company cars or expensive flashy offices. This ensures that we can keep our hourly rates competitve too. For example £60.00 per hour (£480.00) has been the default hourly rate set for the last 3 years but still enables us to remain profitable and able to continually invest in the business.
